About Inner Healing

Healing from the Inside Out:
My Approach

My name is Dawn Strobeck and I am a licensed mental health therapist in the state of Florida.  I have over 20 years of both counseling and ministry experience, as well as, 13 years of classroom teaching.  (Please see my bio for credentials and/or spiritual background) Whether you have been on a healing journal for awhile or just beginning I believe that there is something here for you. Wherever God’s people are gathered, He is. He just is…and I believe him.   (Matthew 18:20) When we move with intentionally and expectancy Jesus comes to meet us.

Jesus cares for and knows all of our heart’s hurts and voids and wants to fill them with Himself.  I am deeply committed to showing you that when Jesus instructs us to seek Him that He wants to be found and He wants to redeem our stories in both big and small ways.  Many today are looking for the answers in pop psychology and although being a counselor I am a huge proponent of counseling, I have learned that counseling alone is not enough.  Healing the deepest wounds of the soul require the Holy Spirit’s Presence in a more intentional way.   This can be done through a variety of different modalities and prayer avenues.  I’m not claiming that this way is the only way.

Inner Healing is just a form of prayer (corporate or individual) that gets to the spiritual root of a concern.  It has been around for a long time in a formal way and forever in a less formal way.  I believe my first inner healing experience was alone in my bedroom unassisted by human-kind, it was a moment of intense emotional pain, surrender, forgiveness and a heartfelt ask for healing.  Since then I have had many experiences where God has healed my inner being through prayer and conferences such as this. The process of inner healing is not as mystical as some would make it, but it is a deeply spiritual experience.  It is not confusing or scary or contrary to scripture.  No one person has the market on this, it is profound and beautiful, yet common.  Common because it is what Jesus does.  Jesus, the Christ, the one that died on the cross and gave us access to eternal life is the same Jesus that heals today.  I cannot even express what an utter joy it is to facilitate experiences where God so graciously ministers to His people because they have eagerly gathered and humbly asked.  My hope is that Jesus will use this moment of facilitation to heal you in some way.

On a practical level, these events generally include some teaching (in the seminar/workshop format), some inner reflection, worship time, connection or journaling time, and corporate prayer.  It is not chaotic, nor exposing.  It will feel very much like a corporate Christian retreat but on a deeper level.

My prayer for you is that you will find whatever healing you seek whether it is through this means or another pathway.  Jesus is alive and He wants you to be as alive as you can be here on this earth.  The Kingdom of God is here now and yet there is always more to come…  more today than yesterday.  And much more when we get to meet Him face to face one day.
